Posh Sweets was born from many happy memories of baking with my grandmother. She was the one who taught me to use knives to cut butter into the flour to make a perfect pie crust. I remember how exhausted my arms would get, and she would remind me that she had no problem doing it with an extra fifty years under her belt.
One of the most self-fulfilling memories I have is when I volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House. We took supplies for about fifty children to roll out dough and mix apples with cinnamon and sugar to make their own mini apple pies. It was so wonderful to see the smiles on their faces as their creations came out of the ovens. Baking truly brings happiness.
